Clipboard crashes on Android 3.0+ Samsung devices
| veeti.paananen@, Oct, 22, 2012 15:02 |

Hi, Please pass this information on to the appropriate development team. Samsung devices running TouchWiz and Android 3.0 or higher have a fatal clipboard bug that can cause it to become permanently unusable until a factory reset. It seems to occur randomly. Whenever a user tries to copy something, this error occurs in the system ClipboardManager class: java.lang.NullPointerException at android.content.ClipboardManager.setPrimaryClip(ClipboardManager.java:146) And the application that the user is using crashes. The only fix for this is to perform a factory reset or to clear the contents of /data/clipboard as a rooted user. Since this directory does not exist in stock Android, the fault is clearly with the Samsung software. |

I experienced this problem on my Galaxy S3, and had to do a factory reset to get the clipboard to work again. This is extremely annoying. We urgently need an over-the-wire update to fix this bug. If it happens again, I'm finished with Samsung. Phone model number: Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300 Android version: 4.0.4 Baseband version: I9300XXLFB |

hello, I have the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 running Android 4.0.4 N8000XXLGA with TochWiz. Everytime I try to paste something from the extended clipboard (called by the special button on the bottom right of the Samsung keyboard) into any app that accepts keyboard input the system (not just the app) crashes and the tablet reboots. It started happening recently, probably after I copied some image that, I guess, resulted in a corrupted file in the /data/clipboard folder as I can gather from other user's comments. I can't access nor modify that root folder since I'm not rooted. |

I do not know how to reproduce this defect. To resolve this defect, the workaround is to hard reset my phone, therefore, I will not try to reproduce the problem.
I think comment #50 may be onto something: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=35732#c50 "Same issue SGH-I747M 4.0.4... I agree with comment #45 I noticed that when copying from Google Chrome it put another "empty" entry (not for the native browser and Dolphin Browser)into the clipboard ! I try to keep the clipboard empty to avoid another crash. I don't want to make another factory reset !!!" I hope this helps. |

Here are some slides about this issue at Note 10.1 (N8000). https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B-PR-X4GJl8jUzFfZTdxS1VENEU This happens on both ICS and JB at N8000. In order to avoid third-party software influence (Chrome), the same was tested on Sony and HTC devices running ICS and JB and this bug does not appear. It really seems that the bug is related to Samsung's implementation of multi-entry clipboard (BTW, really cool stuff and we should apply all the forces to make it working smoothly). |

I found a work around that works in many cases but not all by downloading a keyboard with cut and paste buttons, this works better for copying from places like the address bar more easily than content from pages. I am able to do it with those buttons but if I try to select cut or copy from the options bar at the top when text is highlighted it crashes on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Very frustrationg to deal with this because I own a website and it makes it very difficult to add quoted content from my tablet. I loved tablet until this started and was considering the Note 2 when I upgrade my phone. I am rethinking that now because it has taken so long to fix this, it has been months and it wasn't even a known issue when I called for help a while back and was offered nothing other than doing the hard reset which loses layout and other features time consuming to setup all over again everytime this starts again 2 weeks later. I have a Samsung computer screen, laptop... tablet ... bought an S3 for my son ... even my washing machine is made by Samsung. But it really bothers me that when I called for help it went no further than that. This thread makes it seem like you had no clue this was an issue people have been seeking help for since July and I even mentioned when I called for the person who told me just to keep doing the hard reset to google this and see how many people are having this problem, she told me she couldn't access the internet and the only help she would offer is the reset ... no other way to report this ... fix it ... or find additional help. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has same issue with copy-paste. Crashes every time I try to perform the copy-paste operation in any program. Black screen and error message of the app, but is not the app, is the system. We need a solution ASAP, because rooting device or dump default system every time is not a solution. |

Same issue from my Galaxy S3 in Brazil version, App crash after doing text copy in most applications (crash in Gmail, Contact, Firefox, Chrome, ...). There is no crash in some other application ('S Memo', 'Internet' browser) but in all cases, I can not paste any more (the list of paste option is empty). For my daily usage of my smart phone it is a critical issue. I consider it is abnormal Samsung did not provide any fix or correct work around (like clipboard cleaner app) in the last 3 months. For Samsung to provide correct product support (instead of recommending factory reset each time this bug will appear), we should make the buzz on such issue which is Samsung Galaxy killer. My Phone details: Unit: Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300 Version: 4.0.4 Baseband: I9300UBLG2 I have got this issue since 2012-11-06 22:46 (per current content of folder /data/clipboard), 2 weeks after receiving my S3. The issue appeared after upgrading to v4.0.4 and installation of Chrome but I do not remember from which application I have made the last text copy on 2012-11-06. Current content of my folder /data/clipboard: 21 sub folders and the 2 files: clips.info and clips.info_temp with size 1532. It is strange it contain 21 sub folders instead of 20 (maximum number of clippings supported by clipboard feature). All my copy/paste actions were on text only (not file) and each clipboard subfolder contain file clip about 200 Bytes. Application 'History Eraser' did not succeed to empty/clean my clipboard folder (but did not crash, show message 'History clean'). The application 'Clipper' crash doing the action 'clear clippings' I would prefer to wait several weeks before rooting my new S3 to fix such issue myself. Two years ago, I had to root by Galaxy S1 to fix an basic issue of missing Web root certificate on S1 preventing the usage Citrix Receiver. Once again it was Samsung release issue (for Galaxy S1), not present in core android version or for other concurrent. The issue was fixed by Samsung only 6 months later in new Android release 2.3.3. I am afraid Samsung will provide a fix only in several months for my version of S3 (Brazil release).------------------------------------------- Update on 11/22/2012: I could not afford to wait several weeks/months to get a bug fix from Samsung. So I have done a factory reset one week ago without installing any other Web Browser or extra keyboard. So far I did not faced anymore the issue. After many new copy/paste, looking at my folder /data/clipboard, it contains only 20 sub folders and not 21 as when I had the issue. Samsung should provide a status when/how they will release a fix (with a new major update of android 4.x or trough some patch of current releases or some app to clean up the broken clipboard folder without the need to root our device). This issue has been reported in July 2012. |

Just for confirmation this is a confirmed issue on my GT-P7510 (Galaxy Tab 10.1) running ICS from the update back in August. I really hope you (Samsung) doesn't decide to abandon us using these older devices, given Samsung's track record I'm not holding my breath... I'm aware of the workaround of doing a factory reset but that's not an acceptable soluition since you know it's going to happen again down the road. Please fix this! -Eric This content has been quoted from k.krakowiak@’s thought.

Just got nailed by this. Initially caused by a copy operation in chrome that crashed. 1) browsed using chrome from clicking link in twitter app 2) attempted to copy url 3) phone soft locked 4) click lock button (power button on phone and wait for chrome to full crash) "chrome has stopped working" 5) copy and paste permanently broken Carrier: Canada/Bell Model: sgh-1747m Android: 4.0.4 Build: imm76d1747mvlalh1 not using touch wiz... using adw launcher. really wish there was a way to fix this. i do not have root access and do not want to factory reset my phone. :( :( :( any way to fix this would be great. any suggestions other than factory reset. this really sucks. i want to throw my phone through the wall. |

Konrad, My feeling is "I think" and "soon" are unacceptably vague answers for a problem this severe, that, near as I can tell, affects essentially your entire product line of mobile devices, and requires such extreme actions on the part of your customers to work-around. This kind of thing should never have gotten by software QC in the first place. Having gotten by QC, it should have had a priority placed upon it and an update pushed out ASAP. Sorry, Konrad, no can do. My Tab 2 has been reset to factory defaults and boxed-up in preparation for return to the retailer. Sorry, Konrad, no can do. My Tab 2 has been reset to factory defaults and boxed-up in preparation for return to the retailer. There it will stay until Samsung either fixes the issue or my window of opportunity to return the device gets close to closing--in the latter case of which it will simply be returned. Hi, Thank you very much. Your effort was very helpful. Can you add information about files which are in 11055339285028_12_4 11055757605028_5_0 e.t.c. directories. You have to have root permission to access to file clips.info. But this is not necessary. Regards, Konrad Krakowiak Samsung Developer This content has been quoted from mstet@’s thought. I am using the latest version Samsung galaxy s3 lte with android version 4.1.1 And this thing is also happening to me. It got triggered when touchwiz started crashing. I tried various apps and it didn't work as my paste button had failed miserably. I didn't want to do factory reset as it didn't guarantee a fix permanently and didn't want to root my machine. Can u please come up with a patch to fix this one? If u are users yourself, you should have seen and know about this issue. Please help us. I''ve been using your brand of phone for ages and this is my fifth one. I never had such sad problems previously. :'( Thanks a lot. This content has been quoted from veeti.paananen@’s thought. Hi, |

Hello Konrad, You're welcome, hope it helps you to save the problem asap. I do agree with #32. Nothing wrong with the samsung hardware I have (tv''s, tab, S, S3, Ace). But the very long time to update android, the total lack of information about update schedule, slow response and lack of information about bugs like the clipboard and unsatisfying answers from helpdesk are enough reason to think twice before buying another Samsung device. Konrad, This problem is even worse than what's been reported in this thread. Check post #80 in the thread on the Google Code Developers site: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=35732#c80 Then do as that poster suggests: Put "android.sec.clipboard.clipboardexmanager" into a Google search and see what comes up. It would appear Samsung's TouchWiz clipboard code is causing all sorts of fatal problems, not just in cut, copy and paste. Jim |

I am having the same problems, on pretty much any application when I try to copy text. Could you please pass the following information to your developers on this issue: After 3 month with my GT-I9300, Android 4.1.1, I9300XXDLID the phone crashed after working with the clipboard. After the reboot, the clipboard was unusable. In the log file I had similar errors like other, that have posted in this forum: I/ClipboardServiceEx: Send intent for dismiss clipboard dialog inside hideCurrentInputLocked() ! E/ClipboardServiceEx: Had failed to obtaining clipboardEx service. German Samsung support told me to send the phone to their service or or do a factory reset, something I didn't want, so I used a root adb shell to examine the problem. The solution is very simple: delete /data/clipboard and everything works fine again. Fortunately I am a developer and I was able to come up with some code were I can crash my S3 and reproduce the error: for (int i = 0; i < 22; i++) { |

I started having this same problem in the last few days on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3113 which I've had for over 6 months without issue. I spent a couple of hours researching yesterday and found this forum. Apparently there are many others around the world who have the exact same problem on Samsung devices. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE having a MAJOR issue like this that has existed since July 2012 in some cases. For some reason Samsung doesn't seem to think this is a big enough of an issue to fix or it would have been fixed MONTHS AGO. GET THIS FIXED ASAP or I'll NEVER purchase a Samsung device of any kind for as long as I live. My tablet is unusable without the copy/paste functionality. I know it probably doesn't matter in the least since I'm just one customer, but in this day and age, issues like this that go unfixed can go viral on the internet in just a few days. So, how will you handle this, Samsung developers? Fix it quick or be known as the company that won't fix known problems when they arise worldwide? It's up to you. |

As unhappy customer because of the poor Samsung reactivity, we should make the buzz for Samsung to provide proper support and solution for product defect. Does someone on this forum has big twitter/facebook follower group for him to post a reference to such issue? Then we can retweet and try to make the buzz on such issue for Samsung to take their responsability on fixing this severe bug reported 6 monthes ago. A good way is to have iphone fan to be aware on such issue. They will be our best advocate to make the buzz about how many new Samsung device can not copy/paste because bad Samsung support. It does not matter to have good hardware if the additional Samsung layer on top of Android has severe bug which take for ever to be fixed. If this post is pointless because not followed by proper support group of Samsung, we need to find other post where to report our issue to get proper support from Samsung. There are only 2 Samsung developpers answering to this specific post, most of the time it is Konrad. Is there only 2 Samsung developpers for product support? Android post like http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=35732 is not the good place neither because it concerns Android core and not Samsung bug specific. By the post #58, Samsung developpers should have exact test scenario to reproduce this issue. Even if it takes several weeks/months for Samsung to release a patch to fix the issue, can Samsung or someone write some basic application just to clean the folder /data/clipboard as workaround (without the need to root the device or execute factory reset)? The apps available on Play store failed to clean such folder. This content has been quoted from srvctec@’s thought. I have over 10,000 followers on twitter for the website I can no longer update using my tablet. Being away from home during the Holidays makes this purchase useless to me for the intent behind choosing a tablet in the first place. I have been waiting to see if Samsung reaches out to any of us before making some kind of social rant... I have called ... I have asked for help online.... and this topic here and I have yet to here anything official from Samsung as I drag my laptop around with me in addition to the tablet. If I thought they were really willing to help I might be more patient but this has taken way too long without ANYTHING from Samsung. Maybe the squeeky wheel gets the grease. If I am not going to hear from them. This content has been quoted from rlscal@’s thought.

Good news and bad news. To start with the bad news: the clipboard issue is not the biggest issue at the moment. Developers discovered a very dangerous root exploit (For example on S3). Good news, you can use the exploit to solve the clipboard issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050297 and then: You need RootExplorer. Go to /data and delete /clipboard Then, go to Settings/Application Management/All, scroll down until you find TestService and clear its data. Reboot. Works for my S3 and the device status remains normal. Too bad the exploit is not working on my tab. I expect Samsung to act faster on the exploit, but please solve the copy paste at the same time |

I am posting to this thread for an added update. After 4.1.1 update there is now a "full reboot" crash occasionally when copying from chrome. Here is the google thread that makes not of all the problems people are having with this. It is very frustrating. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=35732#c85 Here is an exerpt: " after updating to 4.1.1 per an official update to my s3 i reported it as working. unfortunately im am nw experiencing full phone crash/reboot on jelly bean. the full reset is not as terrible as a full non functioning copying and paste because jelly bean boots pretty quick but there is still a major issue with the copy buffer on this version of android. so far the crash/reboot of the phone has only happened while copying a url from chrome. also as an added update in jelly bean has removed the ability for copying contact information from the phome app which is 1) terrible 2) it removes my ability to test whether or not this will reset the phone because now copying contact information is no longer a feature of android. :( " Any help to resolve this issue is much appreciated. |

In the meantime, while we're waiting for Samsung to get off their hands and fix this issue that has existed since the middle of July, as someone above mentioned, I'm not sure why someone doesn't develop an app that will delete the clipboard folder in /data. It would be a workaround, but WAY better than a factory reset or rooting. If I had a clue about developing apps, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I don't know a thing about it. |

Because, srvctec, such an app would require root access to do what it needs to do. This content has been quoted from srvctec@’s thought. I thought apps *could* have root access. If the clipboard can change the contents of the folder that is in the root, that means apps *can* and do have root access. Or is my logic not correct?

They can, but only something with root access can give them root access. A non-root process cannot grant something root access, or the entire permissions system would be worthless. (For a number of Samsung devices, it is, but that's another story. Or at least another chapter.) If you have to root the device to give such an app the rights it needs, you rather wouldn't need the app, anymore, would you? This content has been quoted from srvctec@’s thought.

Same issue here with a International Galaxy S3 bought in India. Already had to factory reset twice. Called customer support and they said they have never heard of an issue like this before. The only suggestion they had was to take it to the service center for reinstalling the software. Disappointed with samsung. |

| Same bug on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android 4.0.4. And from what I see Samsung cannot handle the problem for at least 6 months. Glad I have to live with the bug only for few days now. And I sincirelly hope it will be fixed sooner rather than later as it's making me crazy at least few times per day. Apart of that could someone tell me is rooting my tablet legal in light of warranty provisions? Is rooting reversible meaning noone will tell ot was rooted. I would do it only for the purpose of removing the bug but don't like the idea of loosing warrenty for that. |

Guys, I've fixed this by updating to the latest Samsung Jellybean 4.1.2 This can be fixed if you do an update. Samsung recently released Jellybean 4.1.2, the latest update is being rolled out in phases. You can then perform an OTA update. You can either 1. Wait for the OTA update to be available 2. Carry out the update (this works for GT-I9305) http://m.ibtimes.co.uk/install-android412-jellybean-ota-galaxys3-i9305-xxbll3-418516.html |

I encourage everyone with this issue to go to Samsung Support's Facebook page and post something about it there. Fill out the web support form they will probably send you in response. Then call technical support, but demand a tier 2 support tech to speak to, and one who specializes in your category of device such as phones or tabs. Get a ticket number. The good news is that Jelly Bean reportably fixes it, but the bad news is that leaves us tab 10.1 owners out of luck as it is not on the update list. They are aware of it and were honest about that with me on the phone, but of course they will never reveal whether they doing anything about it. If there is not progress soon I am going to demand a tab 2 as a replacement. They broke it, not me. Beyond that there are deceptive trade practice acts, small claims court, etc. This content has been quoted from veeti.paananen@’s thought. Hi, |

Just be warned: If my experience is any guide: Samsung Customer Support will be utterly unhelpful. And if you get that far: Don't be fooled by the "Office of the President" line. That's just the last customer support escalation, and doesn't lead to anything anywhere near a Samsung executive. (Nor, like the rest of customer support, do they return calls.) As for Jelly Bean: 4.1.2 is *alleged* to fix it. 4.1.1, at least on phones, has been reported to make the problem worse. From the reports I've seen: They're pushing 4.1.1 out to Tab 2s. Why Samsung would push a known broken release out I have no clue. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be a patched release of 4.1.1? Since Samsung doesn't see fit to bother actually informing its customers of anything, I don't know how you'd know, other than installing it and waiting to see if your device screws-up again. This content has been quoted from rreaves1@’s thought.

Dear Mr. Krawowiak: Thank you for your earlier interest and communications in this thread, but "soon" has long since passed by. After several discussions with Tier II technical support (who have been able to duplicate the problem and acknowledge it) and Executive Customer Relations (the rudest, least helpful people I've ever dealth with in my life, and a nail in the coffin as far as ever considering another Samsung product), all anyone will reveal is that the problem was passed to Knowledge Base. They don't know if Knowledge Base is working on it, whether they might work it someday, or if they are working on it, roughly when they might have something. That is because, so I am told, no one in your company in technical support or customer relations is allowed to speak to or communicate with Knowledge Base, so therefore, it is not possible to get any update on the situation. Really poor customer relations. And this is not just a matter of copy and paste, you know, it also renders the camera fairly useless as well, as the camera uses the clipboard. As to copy and paste, I need it every day for use in email, drafting articles and papers, posting comments and articles on blogs, etc. That was what I bought it for and now it is useless to me as to one of its most basic purposes. I can tell you this, as things stand now: my new smartphone upgrade that I am overdue for under my plan to replace my existing Samsung: Will NOT be a Samsung. The soon to buy new flat panel HD TV for the living room to replace the old type TV: will NOT be Samsung (even though the one upstairs in the master bedroom is). The soon to buy new laptop to replace the 5+ year old model: will NOT be a Samsung. I own at least four Samsung products. I so regret my loyalty under the circumstances. The idea that Samsung was going to be the Apple killer is laughable. Please update us on whether a fix for the diastrous Samsung clipboard bug is at least being worked on. And if it isn't, then a definitive answer as to whether it will be or won't be worked on. And if it is or will be, a rough time frame to shoot for. My Galaxy 10.1 Tab (wifi only) developed this crippling copy & paste bug a few days ago. I found this thread while researching the issue today and called Samsung tech support after reading through it. First tier tech support didn't seem to grasp the issue at first (the simple copying and pasting of text) . After he grapsed the problem and we did basic troubleshooting, he put me on hold briefly to speak with senior tech support. When he came back, he said they were escalating it to senior tech support and that I should hear back from them. He did mention doing a factory reset, but said senior tech support hopes to avoid doing that. I made sure to mention reading of people doing the factory reset only to have the bug reappear. We'll see what happens... |

I've also had this bug for a few months now (GT-I9100, Android 4.0.4), and have been following this thread with some hope of a solution. So I'm just adding my input in solidarity. It's very frustrating how steadfastly we've all been ignored, especially since it shouldn't be difficult to code a fix for this. |

I add my voice to the chorus. I think at least a workaround after months could be found. If it involves some programming please let us know nonetheless but don't ignore this large group of Samsung fans who are getting more and more disappointed every day not having a solution for a very basic function of their telephone. "Copy function crashes" cannot be part of a good Samsung product description. Please point us at least to an alternative app/function, at least to some temporary workaround. I hope regular feedback is given in this forum as well, as part of the support to the Samsung community. |

After waiting for a callback from Samsung's second tier tech support since Monday, I called them myself today. I did get to personally speak with an "advanced tech", as they are called. I cannot fault the technician - he was friendly, professional, and spent close to an hour on the phone with me remotely controlling my tablet to try and diagnose the problem. No complaints there. He did as good a job as he could have. The tech did seem perplexed by the issue, as if he hadn't seen it before. Several times I mentioned reading that this problem is widespread, Samsung has been made aware of it, it's on numerous internet forums, and that a British newspaper even just did an article on the issue. Each time I mentioned any of this, it wasn't acknowledged, as if the customer service reps have been instructed not to let on they know about the issue. Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. Bottom line, I was told a factory reset or sending the tablet in for service (out of warranty - $$$) would be the only options to fix the problem. I asked if my tablet would at least be due for the latest OS upgrade when it comes out. I'd wait out a reset if I knew the upgrade was coming. Alas, the original Galaxy 10.1 will not be receiving any more updates. So, I guess I'll root the tablet or reset it. I still like the tablet and I'll use it as long as I can (it's only a year old), but when it comes time to get a new tablet or phone, it most definitely will not be a Samsung. Way to lose customers Samsung! |

Hi, Just adding another voice to the list of unhappy folk experiencing the clipboard bug. We have a Galaxy tab 2 10.1 and started getting the crash a week or so ago. I see this has been a long standing issue and yet still we get a response like this from Samsung support after reporting the issue. "am sorry to hear of the trouble you have experienced, however this is not a known issue. Your tablet may be experiencing a software glitch. Please try your tablet for 10 seconds and restarting the tablet. This will refresh the memory and Operating System of your tablet without losing any data." Of course it didn't fix the problem, and we resent having to restore to factory defaults, or void warranty by rooting tablet to "fix" the issue. I hear this issue may be fixed in jellybean, but is that ever going to come? Very poor form Samsung. |

Hi ! I bought a Galaxy Tab 2 last month and even after a factory reset, it continues to crash. It happens when I use chrome, notes, internet, gmail, mail... always ! Some times I can copy just a word and other times a sentence. I use my tablet to work and it is very disturbing. I did call samsugn and they told me to send it to them so that they can look at it. I will have to wait more than a month, knowing that there is no fix since july 2012? Yeah, nice! I hope there will be an uptade for my Galaxy Tab 2. Right now it is 4.1.1. |

There's an article in the guardian about this bug, I would paste a link but, well you know, that's not something you can do if you were stupid enough to waste your money on a Samsung product. Samsung claim this issue is rare and easily fixed. Is that true? Are any of you satisfied with Samsung's response? I suggest everyone with this issue post a link to this thread on twitter and Facebook and Reddit and anywhere else they can think of, as well as a link to the guardian article and we'll see how rare this is and everyone we know can see how Samsung deal with problems. Sort it out, Samsung! And while you are at it you can give us a decent keyboard! Never again. |

I've only been a Samsung user for A few months, good looking technology, however as I've been learning rather poor support and even slower to close seriously damaging security holes. This serious security flaw has existed for over 4 months (could be longer) and from what I can see Samsung has been dragging their heels carrying on business as normal. Instead of address the issue they ignore it in the hope that when they eventually get around to upgrading devices the fix will no longer be needed. I've complained about Nokia before, yet at the same time, I didn't realise what little Samsung thinks about user support and security. We might complain about Microsoft but their fixes come out in days. Months and Samsung is still asleep. I've had to use 3rd party tools to attempt to close the security holes but solutions are far from ideal. I've had direct support enquires since January which has still gone unacknowledged, 3 months + for a reply or comment, Unbelievable |

Is this some kind of joke? The number of posts here and searching for "samsung clipboard bug" or "samsung copy paste force close" on google/bing is staggering, and yet this is the ONLY comment with ZERO action for going on a YEAR? I will NOT buy another samsung phone again. Period. Neither will any of my clients, friends, or family if I can help it. This is the most maddening bug, worst support, and pathetic disregard for customers I have ever seen. This content has been quoted from k.krakowiak@’s thought. Hi, |

Hi, I found the solution without device reset ! Probably k.krakowiak knew about this solution, and I wonder why he didn't tell us. But thanks for his hint about /data/clipboard folder. So I fixed annoying copy-paste issue by cleaning the folder /data/clipboard. Thats all. My android is rooted so I can do it with Total Commander. My device is GT-P7500, stock android 4.0.4 Regards, Oleksandr This content has been quoted from k.krakowiak@’s thought.
Hi, This is not so easy. The process of reporting a bug has certain procedures which I must abide. I have done all what I could do. Regards Konrad Krakowiak Samsungs Developer This content has been quoted from humawrld@’s thought.
Oh, quite opposite I would say. As You are the only developer willing to speak to us here, You could do something very important for Your customers and Your company as well. You could go to Your friends developers whom You reported the issue to and say something like this: "Hi guys, you remember that bug I told you about few months ago... Well, I have angry crowd out there, so... maybe we could tell them when can they expect a fix or any ETA at all." And after that You could come back to us here and repeat your friends developers answer. :) I believe we would all be grateful for any information apart from "we are working on it".
