Home Structure

Before designing apps or customizing UI elements for a circular type wearable device, let's see how the major UI elements work together to provide a seamless user experience.

Tizen wearable UI consists of four major components:

  • Watch Face

  • Notification Board

  • Widget board

  • Apps

Users can swipe to the left, right, or upwards from the Watch Face to access the Widget Board, the Notification Board, and the Apps screen respectively.

Color inspiration from nature

On a circular type wearable device, users have two options for navigating on the Home screen–they can horizontally swipe on the Watch Face, or rotate the bezel clockwise or counterclockwise to access the Widget Board or the Notification Board. The Apps screen can be accessed by pressing the Home key from the Watch Face.

Watch Face

The Watch Face is the default screen displayed when a wearable device is turned on or whenever the Home key is pressed. It displays the time and other information.

Notification Board

The Notification Board is where the Notifications are archived. Notifications are grouped together and are saved in chronological order for easier user access.

Widget Board

The Widget board is where widgets, such as Weather and Music, are located to provide users with brief and timely information and simple actionable features.

Apps

The Apps screen is where users can view and launch all the apps installed on the wearable device.
