On October 25 and 26 we attended the Droidcon UK (http://uk.droidcon.com/) event held in the Business Design Centre in London. With Samsung we were device sponsor and gave away several top Android devices to the winners of the hackathon project, the Android Stack Exchange (http://uk.droidcon.com/2012/10/stack-exchange-challenge-is-back/) and several during the Q&As.

It was a great event with around 1,000 Android enthusiasts. The first day was held in a barcamp style, where anyone could get on stage in the morning and pitch for the topic he or she wants to talk about. The audience then votes if the person should get a talking slot or not. We pitched as well and got a slot in the main auditorium at 3pm where we talked about some new stuff Samsung is currently working on such as AllShare or ChatON. The most buzz, however, was around our new Galaxy Camera (running Jelly Bean) and the new APIs to access camera functionalities.

The second day was talks in a classic sense parallelized over four streams. You can find the whole agenda of the Droidcon UK event here:

All in all, it was an excellent event with great people and we truly enjoyed being part of it.
