    #register
    #publication

  • A

After the application is registered, it proceeds to QA certification. You are notified about the certification result by email. If the application passes certification without defects, it is published. Otherwise, you must resolve the defects and submit a new version. For more information, see Application Certification.

    #register #certification
    #publication

  • A

No. Applications must be tested and certified before they can be published. However, if your application has been tested and it has no critical defects, you can select "Quick Release" to release it with non-critical defects.

    #in app purchase

  • A

Yes. When registering your application, on the Test Information page, you must attach an application UI description, created using the provided template. You can also include additional attachments, such as a demonstration video. Make sure it is mentioned in the application UI description file and in the "Note to Tester" field.

    Note

You cannot use a demonstration video exclusively to provide any required registration details. The video can only function as additional information. You must still separately provide all the information needed for the QA certification team to fully verify all application features. If a feature cannot be tested, it causes application certification to fail with critical defects.

    #application ui description #attachment #video
    #demo video

  • A

You can define as many tags as you want, separated by commas. The "Tags" field has a 4000-character limit.

Certification Defects

The following questions are related to resolving certification defects.

Certification Process

The following questions are related to the QA certification process.

  • A

On average, the process takes 4 days. The time required to certify and publish your application depends on tester availability and the number of certification rounds needed to resolve defects. To reduce the number of possible defects, test the application comprehensively before submitting it.

To request an expedited review, create a "1:1 Q&A" support ticket describing your need.

    #review #expedited
    #speed up #testing #defect resolution

  • A

Before an application can be published, it is tested by the QA certification team to make sure essential features are implemented, functional, and follow Samsung TV application policies.

For information on the mandatory features and specific test cases that are verified during certification, see Development Checklist.

    Note

Applications for 2015 and later models must support multitasking.

Applications for 2015 models must also support the air pointer. Enable it using the pointing-device-support attribute in the tizen:setting element of the "config.xml" file.
