Data-Driven AI Strategies for Smart Home Appliances

Digital appliances are equipped with various types of sensors to detect their states, situations, and environments. Undesirably, the core technology that characterizes a certain sensor has not been changed for few decades. However, by adopting advanced data analysis and AI engines, it has become possible to explore new opportunities which were otherwise inaccessible. Therefore, to improve the usability of devices and to increase the efficiency of services, AI features have been actively developing for our devices and services. We believe that the most advanced AI features are successfully applied to our products as compared to any other appliance manufacturers. In this session, we explain several AI features deployed in our appliances including AI Vision Inside, AI Pro Cooking, etc. Also, we briefly share few FAQs regarding the development process of AI features including data collection and engine training. Last, we introduce data-driven AI strategies for Samsung's digital appliances.
