Helping Partners Take the Next Step in Health Data Integration
Samsung Health SDK for Android has long been a trusted foundation for partners building wearable-connected health experiences. On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM PT, we hosted a live webinar, "Migrate to the Latest Samsung Health Data SDK," to help our partner community understand why now is the right time to move forward with the new Samsung Health Data SDK.

The session brought together developers and partners currently building on Samsung Health SDK for Android to explore what's new, what's improved, and how migration can unlock greater value for their applications.

What We Covered
The webinar highlighted why Samsung Health SDK for Android partners should be excited about migrating to the Samsung Health Data SDK, including key benefits such as:
• Simplified integration
• Bi-directional health data exchange
• Access to a wider range of SaMD data types

The session also walked attendees through how to navigate the migration guides and resources available on the Samsung Developer Portal, giving partners a clear, step-by-step path to a smooth migration.

Q&A
Beyond the presentation, the webinar included a dedicated Q&A segment where our team addressed questions submitted by attendees ahead of the session. Some of the topics covered included:
• Are any data types available in the legacy SDK missing from the new Samsung Health Data SDK?
• Samsung's recommended approach to automated integration testing.
• Availability of official simulators or test-data-generation tools.
• Can the legacy SDK and the new Data SDK coexist within the same application?
• Do partners previously approved on the legacy SDK need to re-register or seek re-approval?
• Can existing user permissions and consents be retained during migration?

You can find our full answers to these questions in the webinar recording on YouTube.

This kind of direct engagement helps us understand where partners need the most support and continue improving the resources available on the Developer Portal.

Looking Ahead
We're grateful to everyone who joined the session and submitted questions, and we're committed to continuing to support partners through every step of the migration journey.
If you missed the live session, don't worry — the full webinar recording is now available on our YouTube channel. Check it out to catch everything you missed, including the live Q&A.
