Diego Lizarazo Rivera Discusses the Samsung Developer Ecosystem with AiLive
Diego Lizarazo Rivera
Sr. Developer Evangelist
To start the year with some positive energy, we return to our collaboration with The Art Institute. This time, Samsung Sr. Developer Evangelist Diego Lizarazo Rivera participated in the AiLive interview series. AiLive is a collection of live and pre-recorded shows focused on student enrichment from professional interviews, panel discussions, town-hall meetings, and more.
In this video, Diego speaks with AiLive about his career as a developer, the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Store, and shared his experiences working with AI students through the Samsung partnership with The Art Institutes.
The Art Institutes
The Art Institutes is a system of 8 private schools with a focus on education, student outcomes, and community involvement. They focus on creative professional studies that prepare students for careers in design, media, and game design.
Samsung Developers have had a close relationship with the Art Institutes, offering workshops, talks and focused design courses:
Watch Face Designer Workshop: In selected locations, the Samsung team led workshops showing aspects of creating and publishing impactful designs for wearable devices. The energy in these workshops was amazing, and, in the span of a couple of hours, different student teams created beautiful and functional designs that could compete with any professional design found in the Samsung Galaxy Store.
Game Art & Design Guest Speak: Last December, the Samsung Developers team participated in one of the latest classes, focusing on mobile gaming programming and development. A big topic was how to publish the student’s projects, obtain feedback from Galaxy Store’s players, and how to use that to make their projects grow to get more exposure and success.
Watch Face Designer Course: This course explored the process of design with the utilization of wearable application tools. Students conceptualized and created design elements, as well as responsive interface techniques for wearable devices. Once created, students learned how to publish and market watch face designs globally on Galaxy Store.
We love to chat with mobile and wearable developers to help as you develop, publish, and market apps, themes and watch faces.
Galaxy Store is a great place to publish your game and get discovered. If you have existing game titles or have a title under development, we would love to help you get discovered.
