Developer mode of Health Sensor Service

Samsung Health Sensor SDK features are available in Health Sensor Service on Galaxy Watch. They are available only to registered partner apps. Health Sensor Service on Galaxy Watch allows health sensor data measurement only when the app’s package name and signature (SHA-256) match the registered information. Otherwise, the SDK gives SDK_POLICY ERROR. App information is registered after the partner request is approved. Partner approval is required before distributing an app that uses Samsung Health Sensor SDK. For more information about partner requests, see process.

During development, you may use a different signing key than the registered app signature for testing or debugging. In such cases, the developer mode provided by Samsung Health Sensor SDK can be used.


Enabling developer mode

The developer mode can be enabled by following these steps:

  1. Turn on the screen and select the Settings icon.
  2. Tap Apps, swipe down, and then tap Health Sensor Service.

  1. Tap the Health Sensor Service title area about 10 times.
  2. The Developer mode button appears below Health Sensor Service version.

  1. Tap the Developer mode button.
  2. After agreeing to Samsung Health Partner Service & SDK License, turn on the developer mode.


Disabling developer mode

To disable the developer mode, return to Developer Mode and turn it off.
