Samsung Announces FDA-Cleared Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification for Galaxy Watch

Cleared by the FDA, the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature will soon be added to the Galaxy Watch series. When a series of irregular heartbeats is detected by the BioActive sensor on a Galaxy Watch, the watch display notifies the user that they may be having an atrial fibrillation episode.

The IHRN feature will be included on the new Galaxy Watch model to be launched in the second half of 2023, and will also be added later to Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 series through a software update.
