BrowserLegacyExtensionPointsBlocked

Block Browser Legacy Extension Points

Supported on:

  • Chrome (Windows) since version 95

Description:

Setting the policy to Enabled or leaving it unset will permit Samsung Browser to apply the additional extension point security mitigation to block legacy extension points in the Browser process.

Setting the policy to Disabled has a detrimental effect on Samsung Browser's security and stability as unknown and potentially hostile code can load inside Samsung Browser's browser process. Only turn off the policy if there are compatibility issues with third-party software that must run inside Samsung Browser's browser process.

true = Block legacy extension points in the Browser process
false = Do not block legacy extension points in the Browser process

Supported features:

  • Applied to browser only after restart.
  • Applied at Samsung Browser level, cannot be set by Cloud user policies.
