SamsungBlockedSearchEngineList

Block search engines on Samsung Browser

Supported on:

  • Samsung Browser (Windows) since version 31.0.0
  • Chrome (Windows) since version 148

Description:

Specifies prepopulated search engines to remove from the Samsung Browser search engine list.

Add one text keyword per list entry. Samsung Browser compares each keyword with the search URL of every prepopulated search engine. If a search URL contains any specified keyword, the corresponding search engine is removed from the list.

Keyword matching is case-insensitive and uses a substring match. URL patterns and wildcards are not supported. For example, the keyword "perplexity" matches a search URL containing "perplexity".

Leaving this policy unset or setting it to an empty list does not remove any search engines. Do not specify an empty string, because it matches every search URL.

This policy applies only to prepopulated search engines.

Supported features:

  • Applied to browser without restart. Note that some ongoing tasks may not be affected.
  • Applied at Samsung Browser level, cannot be set by Cloud user policies.
