TotalMemoryLimitMb

Set limit on megabytes of memory a single Samsung Browser instance can use.

Supported on:

  • Chrome (Windows) since version 79

Description:

Configures the amount of memory that a single Samsung Browser instance can use before tabs start being discarded (I.E. the memory used by the tab will be freed and the tab will have to be reloaded when switched to) to save memory.

If the policy is set, browser will begin to discard tabs to save memory once the limitation is exceeded. However, there is no guarantee that the browser is always running under the limit. Any value under 1024 will be rounded up to 1024.

If this policy is not set, the browser will only begin attempts to save memory once it has detected that the amount of physical memory on its machine is low.

Supported features:

  • Applied to browser without restart. Note that some ongoing tasks may not be affected.
  • Applied at Samsung Browser level, cannot be set by Cloud user policies.
