Integration options

This section introduces the integration options available to the Samsung Pay developers:

  • Samsung Pay SDK for Android or Flutter

You can use these options for push provisioning in Android apps, based on your development platform: Samsung Pay SDK for Android used with native Android apps and the Samsung Pay SDK for Flutter used with apps that are based on Google's Flutter framework.

You can use both options to provision a customer’s payment card to Samsung Wallet from your issuer app.

  • Save to Pay

This option allows you to use push provisioning in your website. You can use it to provision a customer’s payment card to Samsung Wallet from your website.

  • App-To-App ID&V

This option implements identity verification (ID&V) with Android intents in your issuer app if, as a card issuer, you want the customer’s identity to be verified when they are enrolling their payment card within the Samsung Wallet app. When the customer selects Open banking app as their verification method in the Samsung Wallet app, this option allows the Samsung Wallet app to redirect the customer to your issuer app for verification.

In addition to app-to-app ID&V, Samsung Pay also supports app-to-web ID&V:

  • If the customer selects Card issuer web verification as their verification method in the Samsung Wallet app, the app redirects the customer to the applicable 3DS ID&V service website provided by Visa or Mastercard.
  • If the customer selects Go to bank website as their verification method in the Samsung Wallet app, the app redirects the customer to your own website where you can verify their identity using your own methods.

To activate and configure either app-to-web ID&V method, contact your token service provider (TSP). No configuration or implementation is needed directly with Samsung Pay, these methods work through your TSP.
