Set up a test environment

To set up a test environment:

  1. Define test accounts and their debug expiration date.
  2. Set up the Samsung Wallet test app.
  3. Install your app on a test device, if you are using the Samsung Pay SDK for Android or Flutter integration option.

Define test accounts and their debug expiration date

You can define up to 30 test accounts for your service.

To define test accounts and the debug expiration date for your service during service creation on the Samsung Pay Portal:

  1. To set the debug expiration date, click GENERATE NEW DATE next to the Debug Effective Date field.
  2. To add test accounts, enter one or more comma-separated Samsung Account email addresses in the Test Accounts field, and then click SAVE.
  3. Click DONE.

To add more test accounts or update their debug expiration date later:

  1. Log in to the Samsung Pay Portal.
  2. In the All Services section of your dashboard, click the applicable service's name.
  3. To set the debug expiration date, click GENERATE NEW DATE next to the Debug Effective Date field.
  4. To add test accounts, enter one or more comma-separated Samsung Account email addresses in the Test Accounts field, and then click SAVE.

Set up the Samsung Wallet test app

To set up the Samsung Wallet test app in your test device:

  1. Download and install the Samsung Wallet test app:

    1. Log in to the Samsung Pay Portal.

    2. In the bottom-right corner of your dashboard, select Support > RQ Test App.

    3. Click Copy below the QR code to copy the download link, and paste it into a browser on your Samsung mobile device. Alternatively, scan the QR code using your device's camera.

    4. To install the app, click Participate and Install now.

  2. Sign in to the installed app using a Samsung Account that has been added as a test account for the service.
  3. Set up an authentication option in the test app, such as PIN or biometrics.

Install your app on a test device

If you are testing the Samsung Pay SDK for Android or Flutter integration option, install your new issuer app on the same device as the Samsung Wallet test app.
