Overview

After you check the Samsung Pay status on the customer's device and determine that you can display the Samsung Pay button, implement the push provisioning flow to provision the customer's card to Samsung Wallet:

  1. Make sure the card has not already been added to Samsung Wallet by retrieving all the customer's cards in Samsung Wallet.

  2. Display the Add to Samsung Pay button in your app.

  3. When the customer clicks the button, gather the necessary card details from your TSP and the wallet details from Samsung Wallet.

  4. Provision the card to Samsung Wallet. The card can be a standard card or a co-badge card.

A co-badge card combines 2 payment brands or networks.

The following figure illustrates the push provisioning flow.

Push provisioning flow

  1. After checking the Samsung Pay status on the customer's device, request a list of the customer's current cards from the Samsung Wallet app installed on the same customer device where your app is running.
  2. Samsung Wallet sends the card list to your app.
  3. If the card is not yet added, request the card details necessary for provisioning from your token service provider (TSP).
  4. The TSP sends the card details to your app.
  5. Request the customer's wallet details from Samsung Wallet.
  6. Samsung Wallet sends the wallet details to your app.
  7. Create a provisioning payload with the card and wallet details, as required by your card network.
  8. Send the provisioning request to Samsung Wallet to add a new card.
  9. Samsung Wallet requests token provisioning from the TSP.
  10. The TSP returns a token to Samsung Wallet, which stores it.
  11. Samsung Wallet sends a notification of the provisioning result to your app.
