Bulk Upload In-App Items

Bulk upload (batch item registration) allows you to register multiple in-app items within one app by uploading a CSV file. In the latest update, the Price field name has been changed to Standard Price (USD) and four new fields have been added to the CSV file:

Field Description
Pricing Template ID The Template ID of an existing price template. Use the price template to apply the standard and local prices to your in-app item.

The Template ID is assigned by Seller Portal and is displayed in the price template list (from the In App Purchase tab of a selected app, click Price Template; or when you are adding an in-app item from the Add Item window, in the Price section, select Add New Template).

Price Exception A custom price and currency for one or more specified countries. Use this field to apply a specified price to an item in the local currency of a country. To specify the price for more than one country, separate each entry by a semicolon.

Format: 3-character ISO country code + 3-character currency code + price
The ISO country codes and currency codes are available in the file price_exception_code.csv (you must be logged in to Seller Portal to download this file). In Seller Portal, you can also download this file from the In App Purchase tab of a selected app: click on the arrow next to Add Item, select Bulk Upload, then click Currency and Country Code Information.

Example 1: USAUSD2
This specifies the price of two U.S. dollars for an in-app item in the U.S. The three-character ISO country code is "USA," the three-character currency code is "USD," and the price is $2.

Example 2: USAUSD2;KORKRW2000
This specifies the price of two U.S. dollars for the in-app item in the U.S. and 2,000 Korean won for the in-app item in Korea.

If a country is not specified, the price for that country is calculated from the Standard Price and current exchange rate. If an incorrect country code is specified, that entry is disregarded (and that country's price is calculated from the Standard Price and current exchange rate). If an incorrect currency code is specified, the currency that is used by that country's Galaxy Store is applied (for example, if USAUSA300 or USAKRW300 is entered, the price of the in-app item in the U.S. is set to 300 U.S. dollars).

Note: You may also use the price template to set prices for specific countries. Prices set in the price template take precedence over prices set in this field. If a price for a country is not specified in the price template or if the price template is not used, the price in the Price Exception field takes precedence over the price calculated from the Standard Price and current exchange rate.

Phone Bill At checkout, include a payment type that allows the customer to add the charge of the item to the customer's monthly mobile phone bill. This billing type must be supported by the carrier.

  • Yes: If supported by the carrier, allow customers to charge the price of the item to their monthly mobile phone bill.
  • No: Do not allow customers to charge items to their monthly mobile phone bill.

Status The in-app item status of the item, either active or inactive.

  • ACTIVE: The item is or will become available immediately to your customers in Galaxy Store.
  • INACTIVE: The item is registered in Seller Portal but not available to your customers in Galaxy Store.
