Screenshots Images Register screenshot images to be used when your app is introduced on Smart TV app store. Yes

Two types of app icons must be registered: 1920x1080 size and 512x423 size

The 1920x1080 size icon is an icon used in Smart TV models released after the 16th year.
If you upload a logo image and a background image separately, 16:9 and 1:1 full color asset images are automatically created, and the 1:1 size icon can be replaced with another image.

For logo image, upload a transparent image with 1920x1080 pixels, 32bit PNG(RGBA) format, and a file size of 300kb or less.
For background image, upload an image with 1920x1080 pixels, 24bit PNG(RGB) or JPG format, and a file size of 300kb or less.

The 512x423 size icon is the icon used in the old Smart TV models released before 15 years.
Upload an image with 512x423 pixels, PNG format, and a file size of 300kb or less, and 1:1 images are automatically created.

Important

While the certification/verification is in progress, the app icon cannot be changed, and can be changed after the process is completed.

4 screenshots must be registered.
If your app has in-app purchases, please include a screenshot with pricing information to register.

Upload images with 1920x1080 pixels, JPG format, and a file size of 500kb or less.
Screenshots will be displayed on the TV in the order they were uploaded. You can change the order of screenshots by dragging and dropping.

Note

For detailed specifications of app icons and screenshot images, refer to the App Icons and Screenshots guide.

After entering all the app images, click the [Save] button to complete the registration.

Entering App Title and Description

In the 'Applications > Title/Description on TV' menu, you can register and edit the app title and description to be provided on the TV.

Figure 2. App Title and Description

Figure 2. App Title and Description

Enter the app title and description for each language so that users can view the app information according to the TV's language selection.

You can add and delete multiple languages by clicking the [Add/Delete Language] button.
One of the languages can be designated as the default language, and if there is no app information in the language selected by the user, app information written in the default language is typically provided.

Table 3. App Title/Description Input Fields
Input Field Description Displayed on TV
App Title Enter the app title by language. Yes
Description Enter a description of the app by language. Yes

The app title written in the default language and the app title specified in the configuration file of the app package must be the same. Otherwise, the pre-test will fail during the deployment request process.

Unlike app names that cannot be changed for app management, you can freely change the app title displayed on the TV.

A blue (complete) icon is displayed for the languages in which information is entered, and a gray (incomplete) icon is displayed for languages that have not been entered, so you can distinguish them.
Languages without an app title and description cannot be registered, so delete unnecessary languages from the list.

Important

While certification/verification is in progress, the default language and the app title written in the default language cannot be changed, and can be changed after the process is completed.

After entering all the app title and description for each language, click the [Save] button to complete the registration.

If the app content is not suitable for the selected age rating, the service may not be released, and if a problem occurs after the release, the service may be discontinued.

Figure 4. Additional Info for Collecting Personal Info

To comply with legal requirements related to personal information, check out our Privacy Guide, as well as the legal requirements of the countries in which the service is offered.

When registering an app, the group's seller information is used by default, but you can change the seller information for each app.
Even if the group information's seller information changes, the app's seller information does not change accordingly, and vice versa.
To change the seller information displayed on the TV, you need to edit the seller information in the app, not the seller information in the group information.

After entering all service information, click the [Save] button to complete the registration.

Setting Service Country

In the 'Applications > Service Country' menu, you can set the country/region where the app will be released.

Table 4. Service Country Input Fields
Input Field Description Displayed on TV

Rating Certification If you are issued a rating certification, you must register the certificate. No

Some countries require a certificate to service the app.
In order to serve Brazil, you need to select an age limit and upload a certificate issued by MY/DEJUS. The age limit may be changed according to the review by Samsung SIDIA.

Partner Sellers can launch TV app services in any country, including the US, and Public Sellers can only launch in the US.

However, in the case of VOD apps (if the service category is Videos), you cannot service global countries unless they are allowed apps. To serve, you must exclude China or set it to only one country as China.

Also, apps with an age rating of 18 years or older cannot be serviced in Korea.

When you change the service country of an app that has already been released and is being serviced on the TV, you must enter the reason, and it will be reflected after Samsung reviews the reason. Therefore, it is recommended to contact the Samsung Content Manager first before making any changes. Changes made without prior agreement may be rejected.

Important

Service country and certificate cannot be changed while certification/verification is in progress or alpha test is in progress, and can be changed after the process is completed. This is also the case if the previously requested service country change has not yet been completed.

After setting the service country, click the [Save] button to complete the registration.
If the service country of the app being serviced on the TV is changed, it is not reflected immediately after saving, but is reflected through Samsung's review process.
