Smart TV Analytics

Overview

The Samsung Smart TV Analytics portal home page has the following main elements:

  • A: Main Menu Area
    Contains menus for viewing statistics reports. Select the report to be viewed by clicking on the relevant menu.
  • B: Link Menu Area
    Contains menus for viewing Notice or FAQ information. Select the Notice or FAQ to be viewed by clicking on the relevant menu.
  • C: Content Area
    Shows the list of recently registered Notice or FAQ entries.

Report

Report Page Layout

Select different statistics report data by clicking on relevant menu.

  • A: Left Menu Area
    Search and choose the report you want from the list to view its data. You can browse the "Service User" and "Service Usage" indexes here.

  • B: Search Condition Area
    You can search your application's usage data by filtering it by search conditions.

  • C: Report Data Area
    After you input your search conditions, data that matches the conditions is shown in this area. You can view the data on the site or download it as an Excel file.

Reporting Data

You can view report in 3 formats:

  • Summary Data Table
    If you input search conditions in the Search Condition Area and click the "Search" button, the result report is shown below it on the Report Page in a table format, shown as area C in Figure 2.
  • Trend Chart
    If you want to view the trend chart of an index, click the "Chart" button.

    If you want to download the raw data, click the "Excel" button.

Notice

If you click on the "Notice" menu on the home page, the list of notices is shown. Click on a title in the list to view detailed information on the notice.

If you click on the "FAQ" menu at the home page, the FAQ list is shown. Click on a title in the list to view detailed information on the FAQ entry.

Applications Service User

User Index

The report shows the number of devices that have executed and downloaded the application on the Smart TV.

Index Description
Unique visitor The number of devices that have run the application in a given period
Unique visitor (New) The number of devices that have run the application for the first time in a given period
Unique visitor (Cum) The cumulative number of devices that have run the application one or more times until the present date
Unique visitor (Returning) Among the unique visitors to this application this day/week/month, the number of devices that used the "Content Detailpage View" of a certain service in the given time period
Download user The number of devices that have downloaded the application in a given period
Download user (New) The number of devices that have downloaded the application for the first time in a given period
Download user (Cum) The cumulative number of devices that have downloaded the application one or more times until the present date

User Index Rank

The report shows the top 5 or 10 of the number of devices that has executed and downloaded the application on the Smart TV, ranked by country, application, and model group.

Unique visitor The number of devices that have run the application in a given period

Unique visitor (Cum) The cumulative number of devices that have run the application one or more times until the present date

Loyalty Rate

The report shows the loyalty rate (New access, Retention, Churn-out, Churn-in, Login) of devices that have executed the application and the login rate of devices that have downloaded the application.

Unique visitor Retention rate Among the unique visitors to the application in the last day/week/month, the rate of devices that used the service in a given period
Unique visitor Churn-out rate Among the unique visitors to the application in the last day/week/month, the rate of devices that did not use the service in a given period
Unique visitor Churn-in rate Among the unique visitors to the application this day/week/month, the rate of the devices that used the service more than once until the day/week/month before last day/week/month, did not use it during the last day/week/month, but used it again during this day/week/month

Login rate

Among the unique visitors to the application, the rate of visitors who had the Login status
Download user
Login rate

Among the unique visitors to the application, the rate of download users who had the Login status

Applications Service Usage

Usage Index

The report shows the applications' visitor counts and the pre/user download counts.

Index Description
Visitor count The number of times that users have run the application in a certain period
Pre download count The number of users that have downloaded the application for a certain period as a cumulative sum
User download count The number of unique visitors for the application for a certain period as a cumulative sum

Usage Index Rank

The report shows the top 5-10 of the applications' visitor counts and the Pre/User Download Counts, ranked by country, app, and model group.

Visitor count The number of unique visitors to the application in a certain period
Pre download count The number of users that have downloaded the application for a certain period as a cumulative sum
User download count The number of unique visitors for the application for a certain period as a cumulative sum

Average Usage by Device

The report shows the average number of applications executed per device, and the average number of days visited by each unique visitor device, by day/week/month.

Avg. Visit Count The average number of times the application is run per unique device, in a given period
Avg_Visited_Days_per_1_Visitor The average number of days each unique device uses the application, in a given period

Game KPI

KPI Trend by Game

The report contains the following KPI trends for each game. Each indicator is available and you can make specific queries, reports, or charts.
