Get Your Own Galaxy Store Badge Links

Get a Galaxy Store badge and promote your Android apps, Galaxy Watch apps, and Theme apps.

You can insert Galaxy Store badge images directly into your marketing materials and link the images to your badge links. You can download badge HTML code and insert in your marketing materials to display badge images that are already linked. You can also link UI text or elements to your badge links.

Note: Information referring to Galaxy Watch also applies to earlier Gear devices and apps, unless stated otherwise.

Depending on your app type, you can generate a badge link that directs your customers to either your:

  • Product detail page for one of your Android, Galaxy Watch, or Theme apps

  • Seller brand page with all of your Galaxy Watch or Theme apps

For **Samsung mobile device users**, all badge links send them to either a product detail page or a seller brand page.

For non-Samsung mobile device users:

  • Badge links for Galaxy Watch apps send them to either a product detail page or a seller brand page.

  • Badge links for Android, Edge, Stickers, Fonts, and Theme apps send them to a help page.

For desktop PC users, all badge links send them to a help page. The badge help page explains how to get to your app download page or your seller brand page.

Android apps

To get a badge link for one of your Android apps:

  • You must have an SDP account (sign up from the SDP website).

  • At least one Android app must be normally distributed in Galaxy Store.

  1. Go to the SDP website, sign in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Badges.

  2. In the Submit Badge Requests section, select the Android App Type.

  3. Complete the following:

    App Name*

    Title of your badge (for example, a name related to an app, part or all of your product line, or a promotional campaign)

    The title is only displayed in the My Badges list and in badge click reports. We recommend you use a catchy name that is easy to track.

    Content ID*

    12 digit number of your app

    To get the Content ID from Seller Portal: log in, go to the Applications page, and locate your app.

    Package Name*

    Your app's unique ID

    The package name follows Java convention (for example, trueheart.org.Heart2Heart, where Heart2Heart is the app name). The package name is used in the badge shortURL.

    To get the package name from Seller Portal: log in, go to the Applications page, and click your app's For Sale status. In your app page, click the Binary tab and then click a binary file's File Name. The package name is in the Package Name field. See Find an app's package name for more detailed instructions on how to find the package name.

    Preferred Tag*

    A character set (three to nine alphanumeric characters, case-insensitive, and must be unique among all active badge links) that becomes part of your badge link (http://galaxy.store/[tag]).

    We recommend a badge tag that is easy for your customers to type.

  4. Review the badge terms and conditions (click Terms & Conditions).

  5. If you accept the badge terms and conditions, select By clicking on "Submit Request" you accept the Terms & Conditions.

  6. Review your badge information and click SUBMIT REQUEST.

Galaxy Watch apps

To get a badge link for one or all of your Galaxy Watch apps:

  • You must have an SDP account (sign up from the SDP website).

  • At least one Android app must be normally distributed.

  • Determine if you want the badge to link to:

Galaxy Watch app product detail page

To generate a badge link for the product detail page of one Galaxy Watch app:

  1. Go to the SDP website, sign in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Badges.

  1. In the Submit Badge Requests section, select the Galaxy Watch App Type and Product Detail Page URL Type.

  2. Complete the following:

    App Name*

    Title of your app that is registered in Seller Portal

    We recommend you use a catchy title that is easy to track.

    Content ID*

    12 digit number of your app

    To get the Content ID from Seller Portal: log in, go to the Applications page, and locate your app.

    Package Name*

    Your app's unique ID, which is used in the badge shortURL

    To get the package name from Seller Portal: log in, go to the Applications page, and click your app's For Sale status. In your app page, click the Binary tab and then click a binary file's File Name. The package name is in the Package Name field. Galaxy Watch app seller brand page

To generate a badge link for your Galaxy Watch brand page that promotes all your Galaxy Watch apps:

  1. Go to the SDP website, sign in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Badges.

  2. In the Submit Badge Requests section, select the Galaxy Watch App Type and Seller Brand Page URL Type.

  3. Complete the following:

    Brand Name*

    Name of your seller brand
    Preferred Tag*

    A character set (three to nine alphanumeric characters, case-insensitive, and must be unique among all active badge links) that becomes part of your badge link (http://galaxy.store/[tag])

    We recommend a badge tag that is easy for your customers to type.

    Brand ID*

    Unique identifier (10 numeric characters) assigned by Samsung to your Seller Portal account

    To get the value of your brand ID:

    1. Go to your seller brand page in Galaxy Store.

    2. Use the Share function and select a 'Share via' method.

    3. Copy the 10-number value of brandId=##########

    Seller Deeplink*

    Unique identifier (10 alphanumeric characters) of your Seller Portal account

    To get the value of your seller deeplink:

    1. Go to your profile page in Seller Portal.

    2. Copy the 10-alphanumeric entry in the Seller Deeplink field.

    Preferred Tag*

    A character set (three to nine alphanumeric characters, case-insensitive, and must be unique among all active badge links) that becomes part of your badge link (http://galaxy.store/[tag])

To get a badge link for one or all of your Theme apps:

  • At least one Theme app must be distributed.

  • Determine if you want the badge to link to:

Theme app product detail page

To generate a badge link for the product detail page of one Theme app:

  1. Go to the SDP website, sign in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Badges.

  2. In the Submit Badge Requests section, select the Theme App Type and Product Detail Page URL Type.

  3. Complete the following:

    App Name*

    Title of your app that is registered in Seller Portal

    We recommend you use a catchy title that is easy to track.

Theme app seller brand page

To generate a badge link for your Theme seller brand page, which promotes all of your Theme apps:

  1. Go to the SDP website, sign in, and click Access My Dashboard > Galaxy Store Badges.

  2. In the Submit Badge Requests section, select the Theme App Type and Seller Brand Page URL Type.

  3. Complete the following:

    Brand Name*

    Name of your seller brand
    Preferred Tag*

    A character set (three to nine alphanumeric characters, case-insensitive, and must be unique among all active badge links) that becomes part of your badge link (http://galaxy.store/[tag])

    We recommend a badge tag that is easy for your customers to type.

    Seller Deeplink*

    Unique identifier (10 numeric characters) assigned by Samsung to your Seller Portal account

    To get the value of your brand ID:

    1. Go to your profile page in Seller Portal.

    2. Copy the 10-alphanumeric entry in the Seller Deeplink field.

  4. Review the badge terms and conditions (click Terms & Conditions).

  5. If you accept the badge terms and conditions, select By clicking on "Submit Request" you accept the Terms & Conditions.

  6. Review your badge information and click SUBMIT REQUEST.

Find an app's package name

An app's package name is displayed in Seller Portal, as part of the binary file description. For Galaxy Watch apps, you can also find the package name in the config.xml file (.wgt) or tizen-manifest.xml file (.tpk or .gwd).

Seller Portal

  1. Log in to Seller Portal.
  2. Click Applications at the top of the page to go to the Applications page.

  3. Locate your app and click For Sale under Status.

  4. Click Binary on the left tab.

  5. Click on the binary file name.

  6. Locate the Package Name field for the app's package name.

Galaxy Watch

For web Galaxy Watch apps (.wgt files), the package name (10 alphanumeric characters) is automatically generated by Tizen Studio, and does not contain the app name.

For example in Tizen Studio, the web Galaxy Watch app shown below has the package name WQc8bclrm3

For native Galaxy Watch apps (.tpk files) and Galaxy Watch Designer apps (.gwd), the package name follows Java convention, contains the app name, and is also referred to as the app ID.
