Register Your App in Seller Portal

This is an overview of the tabbed areas and functions used to register your app in Seller Portal. You can find more detailed information in the online Seller Portal User Guide.

Before you can register an app in Seller Portal, you must register with Seller Portal. Also, check out the SDKs, tools, and services that Samsung offers so you can seamlessly integrate your app into the Samsung ecosystem.

Register your app

To register your app, launch Seller Portal, log in, and click (located in the upper right of the Seller Portal interface) to start the registration process.

App Information tab

Provide fundamental app data, metadata, graphic image files, age ratings, languages, legal and support URLs and email addresses.

undefined
  • Refer to App Registration ("Entering Basic App Information") for the latest information about this tab.
  • Click Import My App to import app information from an existing app that you have already registered in Seller Portal.
  • You can import your app from Play Store. See Easy App Registration for more information.
  • You only need to select a general category. Only select an exclusives category if it is applicable to your app.

Binary tab

Specify the type of binary file to upload, upload the binary file, and select the supported devices.

undefined
  • Refer to App Binary Registration for the latest information about this tab.
  • If you are uploading an AAB binary file, Galaxy Store must manage the signing key (you can either upload or use an existing signing key or use the Galaxy Store signing key).

Country/Region & Price tab

Select the app price, payment methods, and distribution countries.

undefined

Publication tab

Specify when to publish your app, to apply a staged rollout, and acknowledge the United States export law compliance.

undefined
  • Set a publication date to determine when your app becomes available in Galaxy Store. Your app can be published when it passes an initial review, on a set date, or you can manually control the release of your app. In Seller Portal, set the publication date in the Publication tab using the Start Publication field. See App Distribution Settings for more detailed information.
  • The publication date is based on GMT (UTC).
  • A staged rollout is only supported for Android apps. For new and updated apps, a staged rollout allows you to control the countries where your app is initally released and the percentage of users who are able to download and install your app. Instead of releasing your app to everyone globally at the same time, test how your app initially performs in certain countries with a limited number of users. If issues arise, a staged rollout allows you to pause the release to fix these issues. See Set a staged rollout for more detailed information.

In App Purchase tab

Register your in-app purchase items.

undefined
  • Refer to Registering IAP and Creating In-App Product for the latest information about this tab.
  • A binary must be uploaded and the Samsung In-App Purchase SDK must be integrated into the app before this tab can be used.
  • You can publish updated in-app items without going through the Seller Portal review process by using real-time item management.
  • You can set local prices in a price template and then apply the template to one or more of your in-app items.
  • You can update the exchange rate to the latest daily exchange rate (KEB Hana Bank's exchange rate from the previous business day) of a price template, one in-app item, or all price templates and in-app items.
  • You can register multiple in-app items (bulk upload) using a CSV file.

Review tab

Enter comments to assist the Samsung validation team in evaluating your app and in-app items

undefined
  • Refer to Requesting app review for the latest information about this tab and App Review Process for more information about the app review process.
  • Review comments are only visible to the Seller Portal app review team. This information is not distributed with the app.
  • If your app requires the user to log in, you must provide a test account and credentials allowing the validation team to access your app.

Beta releases

Refer to Beta Test for more information about beta testing.

You can conduct two types of beta tests before you release your app in Galaxy Store. For both tests, you must share a beta testing URL with your testers so that they can download your beta app.

  • Open beta test: Anyone with a Samsung account may participate. For a paid app, testers are not charged to download and test your app.
  • Closed beta test: Anyone with a Samsung account is eligible participate but you must register the users who can participate. For a paid app, testers are not charged to download and test your app. For paid in-app items, regular testers will be charged for items they purchase during the beta test. Licensed testers, configured in your Seller Portal profile, are not charged for in-app items purchased during the beta test.
