Price Template

A price template allows you to set a fixed local price in each country where your app is sold and can be applied to one or more in-app products of an app. This allows you to set the same local price for different in-app products without having to manually update the local prices for each in-app product. This also means the prices of in-app products are not tied to the daily exchange rate of when the in-app product is registered.

When registering an in-app product, you set a standard price for it in U.S. dollars. This standard price and the daily exchange rate are used to generate local prices that can be automatically applied to each country where your app is sold (the daily exchange rate used is KEB Hana Bank's exchange rate from the previous business day).

If you register in-app products with the same standard price on different days, the calculated price for one or more countries may be different from the price of a previously registered in-app product because the daily exchange rate has changed. If you want the prices of these in-app products to be the same in the same country, you must manually update that country's price for each of the in-app products. Or, if you register in-app products with the same standard price on the same day but adjust a country's local price, you must manually update that country's price for each of the in-app products.

Two features allow you to quickly and easily update local prices so that prices are consistent for all your in-app products in a single app. One feature is to update the exchange rate, which allows you to reset the local prices based on the current exchange rate. Use this feature if you want to use only the calculated local prices in each country. The other feature, the price template (described on this page), allows you to set local prices in a template and then apply the template to one or more of your in-app products.
